Gabrielle Smith
Hello, I’m Gabrielle Smith, a Jamaican illustrator based between St. Andrew, Jamaica and Atlanta, Georgia in the U.S.
I work both digitally and traditionally, and I’m currently exploring techniques which combine the two different modes in the form of digital collages made with hand-painted textures.
I’m most inspired by the colours, shapes and textures found in nature, and you can see this reflected in most of my work. I’m also inspired by fairy/folk tales and by the book arts.
I specialize in narrative illustration for fantasy and fiction.
